At this rate, singer Khalifa Aganaga, real names Sadat Mukiibi might just give up on adding the title “graduate” to his name.

The singer who enrolled for a Bachelors of Music Degree at Makerere University mid this year has asked for a “dead year” just a month after starting school.

A “dead year” is when students opt out of campus for an entire academic year, but it has to be approved by the university so their slot is available when they are ready to resume studies.

Khalifa will be having his maiden trip to the United Kingdom in November when he is supposed to sit his first semester exams. So rather than miss the UK gig, he has decided to opt out of campus for a whole year.

He will perform at the Face of Uganda UK beauty pageant that will be held on November 29 at t the Royal Regency Hall in London.

It should be noted that this is Khalifa’s second attempt at attaining a degree. He earlier chose to use his tuition fees to record his breakout hit Mina Konda, a gamble that paid off.

We wonder if he will resume studies after his dead year.
