Social media has been awash with glaring grammatical errors in The New Vision over the last three days.

Like its tagline suggests, New Vision is the leading daily in Uganda and readers expect nothing short of the best but they were treated to “new words” like Mnistry and Rersidents.

Then there were words that were given new meaning thanks to New Vision. “Kampala moans city mogul Kasiwukira,” screamed one of the headlines. Social media mourned the death of standards, leading to Kabushenga’s apology for what we call Banging Buffaloes in Matooke Republic.
