Singer Yung Mulo has come out to support Team Esther in her ragging battle with singer Bebe Cool.

It all started when Bebe Cool called Esther Akankwasa, one of the two Ugandan representatives in the Big Brother Hotshots reality show, a national disgrace.

Esther was evicted from the house last Sunday and on her return from South Africa, she fired back at Bebe Cool saying she was more famous than the Love You Everyday singer because Africa knows her.

Bebe Cool didn’t hit back directly but her said Love You Everyday was topping charts in several countries including Nigeria and was on high rotation on continental TV channels like Trace, Channel O and MTV. In other words, there is no way someone who was in Big Brother for two weeks can be more famous than him.

But even before things get physical, Tebakusobola singer Yung Mulo, has asked anyone who can reach Bebe Cool to tell him that he will give him a thorough beating if he dare touches Esther.

Bebe Cool has fought numerous battles with musicians and he even survived bullets, so that raises his street credibility, but the much smaller Yung Mulo is a decorated street fighter.

Before making it into music, Yung Mulo was an amateur boxer and his idol was Kassim Ouma. He was such a good boxer that Chameleone put him on his security detail in 2010 and baptised him Yung Mulo because he was just a teenager.

It is also rumoured that it is actually Mulo who stabbed Rasta Thadeus (R.I.P), when he had a scuffle with singer Rabadaba at De Posh bar in Kabalagala. Mulo was then part of Rabadaba’s security.

Bebe Cool fans react

No one has more loyal fans in Uganda than Bebe Cool, so the Gagamel Phamily as they call themselves told off Yung Mulo, some commenting “R.I.P Yung Mulo.” Some used F words and other called Mulo a thief. Others said he was trying to get a platform like Bobi Wine, “because every musician who wants to get noticed attacks Big Size Munene Munene.”

Yung Mulo was quick to say that he doesn’t want to beef Bebe Cool but wanted him to get off Esther’s back.

“Nze I don’t beef Bebe Cool. I just want him to leave the bad gal alone … don’t send me your nonsense please #Bebe Cool fans.”
