Why Ellah could win Big Brother’s Shs800m

Former Miss Stellah “Ellah” Nantumbwe survived eviction on Sunday and the good news is that she is not up for eviction this week.

It would have been sad for Ellah to be evicted just a day after her Miss Uganda crown was handed over in absentia to Leah Kalanguka, someone many think is not worth to have the title of beauty queen. Luckily she is still in the game.

Ellah might actually turn out to be a good contender for the $300,000 (about Shs808m) and her are the reasons.

  1. She showers naked: With most of the other girls covering up and showering in their knickers and bras during shower hour, it is a reason for fans (especially the guys) to keep her in the house. Well, the shower hour might only be available to people on Big Brother VIP, but the videos have leaked on the Internet and with their popularity, Ellah has also gained popularity.
  2. She is the only Ugandan: With Esther Akankwasa evicted, she doesn’t have to share the Ugandan votes. Sometimes it all goes down to percentages if she had to share her country’s votes, it might not have worked in her favour, but now she is the only Ugandan.
  3. The East African factor: Kenyan housemates are out. Alusa was evicted on Sunday following Sabina who was evicted the previous Sunday with Uganda’s Esther. Tanzania’s popular Laveda and her saxophone were evicted on Sunday. The Rwandans have always voted for Ellah in case their vote is needed, like they did on Sunday. If Ugandans can take advantage of East African community and rally our neighbours to support Ellah, then she will go a long way in the game.
  4. Pedigree: Ellah is already a winner, she won the Miss Uganda crown last year that came with an A Class Mercedes and a Shs1.5m allowance every month for a whole year. Some people are born lucky and lady luck might smile her way.

That said, there is only one sure way to keep Ellah and her droopy eyes in the game. Keep voting whenever she is up for eviction. Just type Ellah and send to 8884. You don’t have to vote this week because she is not nominated.

Problem with most people in Matooke Republic is that they always ask themselves “nfunira wa” so they might not vote.
