We would love this to be a false call, like several other times veteran UBC news anchor Bbale Francis has been pronounced dead by different media outlets, but unfortunately, this time it is true.

Just last week, Bbale was announced as dead for the third time in seven years only turn out that he was still alive, though battling for his life at Mulago Hospital’s Cancer Institute.

Bbale’s UBC workmates who had set up a fund to help him access better treatment in India have confirmed that he has indeed passed on.

Condolences are pouring in from the media fraternity.

“A man I built a Career around,Bbale Francis has breathed his Last at the Mulago Cancer Institute. My Deepest and HeartFelt Condoleces to Family and Friends,” said Capital FM presenter Daniel Irish Kanyerezi who started out as an Amarula comedian imitating Bbale.

“You have run your race and inspired many. May your soul rest in peace and resurrect with the Lord. RIP Baale Francis,” said radio presenter Roger Mugisha.
