Singer Bebe Cool will release his much anticipated Go Mama album at a listening party to be held at Liquid Silk this evening.

It is an anticipated album because Ugandan musicians, save for a few like Maurice Kirya, are not in the habit of compiling and releasing albums, as they only focus on hit singles.

It is only in Uganda that there is no album available at an artiste’s album launch concert! Bebe Cool is set to change that by releasing a professionally compiled album at Liquid Silk in Bugolobi this evening.

“It is a listeners party where I will meet the press, radio DJs, club DJs, music analysts, music promoters, radio programme directors, music directors on both TV and radio stations, TV personalities, and a few fans,” Bebe Cool said.

The album was mastered by Oscar Lo Brutto in London. It has 14 tracks including previously released singles like Love You Everyday and Everywhere I Go plus new material. Some of the producers on the album include Benon of Swangz Avenue, Nessim of Badi Music and Michael Fingers previously of Fenon Records, now of Master Music.

Writers on the album include Esther Nabaasa, A Pass, Mitchelle Kanye Njoroge and Benon.

Bebe Cool also explained the inspiration behind the album’s art work.

“A strong African man supports an African woman on his shoulders. That’s the message behind the artwork and photo shoot,” he said.

The album will officially be released at the Kampala Serena Hotel on 7th August.
