eseza7[dropcap]I[/dropcap]f you grew up in the 1980s when Radio Uganda was the only radio station, then you probably listened to Eseza Omuto’s programme Emiti Emito.

Fast forward to another century and Eseza Omuto is still presenting a children’s programme, this time on WBS TV. Despite being in advanced age, she still goes by the moniker Eseza Omutu (Eseza the young one). Maybe that is the reason why she hasn’t been married all this long.

She surprised many when she held a kwanjula (introduction) ceremony for her beau, at her parents’ home in Katende, Mpigi, this Sunday afternoon.

Eseza Omuto joined Radio Uganda as a receptionist in 1983, but she was later given an on-air slot because of her soft spoken tone.

And those who have been wondering who is taking on Eseza Omuto, real name Eseza Kazinda, who is rumoured to be approaching her 60s, at this advanced age, there is nothing hair-raising  because she is just formalising relations with her long time partner Eng. William Lusse Kigozi.

The two met in the 1980s at Radio Uganda and they even have children in their 20s.

Eseza’s event was grand and she was given a Toyota Raum as one of the presents.

We guess it’s never too late. Congz Eseza and Engineer William.
