[dropcap]W[/dropcap]hile everyone is ecstatic over our Eddy Kenzo winning a BET award, Antenna singer Fuse ODG decided to boycott the awards ceremony. And his reason is that the organisers disrespect African stars.

BET in full is Black Entertainment Television, but according to Fuse, the African Americans feel they are superior to fellow blacks and don’t give them equal treatment to the American stars.

The Ghanaian British who rose to fame thanks to his Azonto song was nominated in the Best International Act-UK but he snubbed the ceremony.

Fuse’s category was won by Stormzy.

Taking to social media, Fuse whose Million Pound Girl was one of the club bangers of 2014 revealed he was a no-show at the BET Awards in Los Angeles because they do not show respect to musicians in the International Act categories.

The International Act Awards are given out backstage or at a pre-show instead of during the live broadcast. Little wonder when Radio and Weasel were nominated in 2013, many argued that they were not at the ceremony because they were not shown during the broadcast.

Already there are dome people doubting Eddy Kenzo’s Award because he was not in the limelight and the award wasn’t listed on the BET website that targets the US audience. He was only mentioned on BET Africa.
