janet2First Lady Janet Museveni was among the 1640 students who were awarded degrees at Uganda Christian University Mukono’s 16th graduation ceremony today.

Hon. Janet Museveni who is also MP for Ruhaama County and Minister for Karamoja Affairs was awarded a Master of Arts degree in Organisational Leadership & Management. She was accompanied by hubby, President Yoweri Museveni, and their children including Brig. Muhoozi Kainerugaba and his wife Charlotte.

It was a good example she set showing that education is a continuous process as she attained her Masters degree at the age of 67. She attained her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Makerere University on 16th January 1998.  She was a few months away from celebrating her 50th birthday. She studied for her Bachelor’s degree by correspondence.

Mama Janet as she is fondly referred to, gave all praises to God for reaching this academic milestone.

“Isn’t God good? Help me thank Him for the grace and faithfulness He gave my colleagues and I throughout this learning experience. Praise be His Name!” she posted on her official Facebook page.

Uganda National Roads Authority Executive Director Allen Kagina and Senior Presidential Advisor Susan Muhwezi were among the other prominent graduates.
