douglas3Rumours have been flying around that NTV The Beat presenter Douglas Lwanga had joined the exodus of NTV staff joining rival NBS TV.

However, Douglas Lwanga who hosts NTV’s flagship music show, The Beat, from 5.30pm to 6.30pm every weekday evening has rubbished the talk as just unfounded rumours and that he is happy with his job.

“I also read the rumours in some tabloids and laughed at them,” Lwanga said.

“I am very happy with my job and I want to assure my fans that those allegations are false. I am not leaving NTV anytime soon,” Lwanga said.

The presenter crossed from Record TV about two years ago where he used to present the Katogo show that had a similar format. It was the most popular show on the station and it has been struggling since his departure.

The presenter also organises an annual Purple Party that brings together his fans and the stars he hosts on TV. This year’s party will be held at Lido Beach Entebbe on Sunday 20th December.

“There will be 100 musicians, 10 DJs, 10 emcees and one major host (referring to himself),” Douglas told us.
