carol Atuhirwe2There is always light at the end of the tunnel for believers. Things appeared bleak for Carol Atuhirwe, after doctors in the US where she had been slated to go for cancer surgery backtracked saying her condition was delicate and she had to stay at the Uganda Cancer Institute, but she is glad she has got another referral to India and she flew out yesterday.

Ugandans showed Carol love during a fundraising drive to raise Shs270m for her surgery. She received Shs324m and she showed her good heart, donating the surplus to Uganda Cancer Institute.

And then the bombshell came because she could not travel for the treatment to US, but that is all water under the bridge as she is en route to India.

Atuhirwe Carol is finally en route to India for treatment.

“Thank God, our dear Atuhirwe Carol is off to India for treatment. Thanks to all of you for your prayers, financial and all other forms of support. What is now next is your prayers for healing. On another note, cancer is real. Take off time whenever you can to regularly check for cancer. A lot could have gone wrong especially in the last days, but the most important thing is we gave Carol another shot at life. That is worth a celebration.”  PR guru Muhereza Kyamuteteera, the chairman of her fundraising committee said.
