Residents of Busati village in Sironko District witnessed free melodrama over the weekend as two close friends, who also happen to be business partners, officially swapped wives in an impromptu ceremony to settle a long-standing extra marital affair –sources from the locality inform us.

Reportedly, Steven Wesonga and David Woisi have been sleeping with one another’s wife for a long time, so over the weekend they took their query to a village meeting with residents and ultimately it was agreed that the duo exchange wives in a public gala.

Wesonga took on Sarah Muduwa, the officially-wed wife to Woisi; while Woisi in return married Wesonga’s wife, Annette Namataka. Wesonga has five children with his former wife, while Woisi had two children from his wife.

And although Wesonga might seem to have had the worse deal for it, taking a mother of five and giving up a mother of two, Wesonga is reported to have expressed satisfaction with the deal, saying he is very happy with the swap and wishing his colleague success with his former wife.

Reports also indicated some members of the village were pleased with the swap deal, saying it was OK for coupkles to solve adultery that way, while others dismissed it as the highest form of immorality.
