Miracle baby found alive and floating as eight members of his family drown in L. Victoria

boat2A nine-months-old baby boy was found floating by locals of Mudi landing site in Malongo sub-county, Mayuge district as eight members his family drowned in the lake.




This occurred when the canoe they were travelling in capsized after being hit by a strong wave.

The baby was found floating on broken woods of the canoe in the middle of the lake.

Isaac Mukubira the fisherman who rescued the baby said, “I got the baby on one of the pieces of wood of the canoe sucking its thumb and was not even crying.”

Samson Lubega the Busoga regional police spokesman said, “The unidentified captain of the ill-fated canoe is on the run and police is still hunting for him to be charge him with use of an illegal boat to transport people.”
