On Friday night, singer Maurice Kirya held a self titled concert at the Kampala Serena Hotel. The Mwooyo (soul) singer stepped on stage at exactly 9pm dressed in black jeans, black vest and a black leather jacket, he cut the look of a biker boy, sending the ladies screaming.

They even abandoned their seats and ran close to the stage to get up close with the singer. They sang along as Kirya performed his 12 years old body of work, with songs from back in days like Beera Naabo to Boda Boda and recent ones like Busabala.

There were no curtainraisers and Kirya put up a two-hour long performance, but he gave a chance to rising Afro-soul singer Kenneth Mugabi to entertain the crowd.
