Furniture workshop worth Shs200m destroyed in fire near Zone 7

Fire has gutted Home Classic Furniture workshop near Zone 7, in Mbuya leaving property worth Shs200m destroyed.




 The workshop caught fire at about 5pm leaving just ashes. Property destroyed includes; carpentry machines, beds, mattresses and sewing machines.

After a struggle to put out the fire by the residents and workers, Police Fire Brigade arrived at 7pm, but it was too late since all the property had been destoyed. 

The cause of the fire is not yet known since the owner of the premises could not say anything as he was overcome by emotions with tears flowing down his face.

Luckily, police has confirmed that nobody has been injured during the incident.
