Five members of same family drown in Lake Bunyonyi

Five members of the same family have been reported dead after drowning in Lake Bunyonyi.




The victims were sailing back home from a party of one of their relatives in Mushebeya, Kamugangunzi Sub County, to their home in Kabirago Ndarura Village, Rubaya Sub County when their boat was hit by rapid waves.

Police identified the deceased as one Turyagumanawe, his wife Roy Mukamaasimwe, their daughter Desire Turyagumanawe, Catherine a sister in-law to Turyagumanawe and her two year old baby Gracias.
