Despite a number of music channels like Mtv Base and Trace Urban having been established to promote African music, East African music seems to have been overpowered by West and South Africa dominance.

But with introduction of a new channel, it will be very easy for East Africa musicians to have fairer airplay.

Kabulangane- singer Bebe cool came out and exhibited excitement about the innovation, saying it will help East African music become impactful on the continent and soon compete fairly worldwide.

‘’The music industry lacked something I would call an engine, here it comes finally, channel #323 @Trace Muziki coming soon on all decoders, now the east African music can compete fairly in Africa. I call upon all musicians in East Africa to embrace this engine for our music to even move more’’, Bebe Cool posted.
