She’s beautiful, loving, intelligent and with a great sense of humour; we are talking about the ghetto first lady, also one of Matooke Republic’s most read columnists- Barbara Kyagulanyi aka Barbie.

Well, earlier in the week, before she penned her column, Barbie took some time off to post a serious warning to her three pupils and the law student in her house (her hubby Bobi Wine), cautioning them against misuse of school fees and bad results.
In her post, Barbie warned that she ‘will not accommodate poor results at the end of the term, and that she will be seated in her usual corner with her sapatu (slipper)   just in case one of them doesn’t carry their stamped bank slip back to her.’

We found the post both extremely humorous and a serious reminder to parents and children as they head back to school; here is Barbie’s full post for your reading pleasure!
“We had a deep conversation yesterday. I made myself clear to the law student and the three pupils that I would not accommodate poor results at the end of this semester/term. I handed them their tuition in shillings (50 50 thousands) to be precise. I will be home seated in my usual corner with my sapatu in hand just in case one of them doesn’t carry their stamped bank slip back to me. No those of going to the ghetto before bank and reporting back without the money or the bankslip saying simanya bikibiki!” Ah! #schoolfeesdilema …
