The donation was confirmed by Senior President Press Secretary Don Wanyama in a tweet, “The president has made 23,000 dollars contribution to settling Archbishop Nkoyoyo’s medical bills and wished him a quick recovery.”

The fundraising was launched by current head of church of Uganda Archbishop Stanley Ntagali after Dr Nkoyoyo went in need of Shs 200M for an emergency lung operation in the UK. He is currently in a private hospital in Kensington, Central London.

According to reports, he has been battling respiratory complications since late last year and attempts to treat him from different Kenyan and American hospitals were fruitless.
