After DFCU Bank had bought off the assets and liabilities of Crane Bank, there could have been moments of panic among former Crane Bank employees. However DFCU bank has given the employees a peace of mind after reports that they will retain all talent that was at Crane Bank.

Juma Kisaame the managing director DFCU Bank yesterday stated that all former Crane Bank employees will carry on with their duties as full time DFCU employees until the integration process determines the optimum staffing levels.

Though some Crane Bank branches have been closed, DFCU managing director stated that the they have not laid off staff.

‘’Crane Bank branch closures, however, did not mean people had been laid-off, for now,  all Crane Bank employees are DFCU Bank employees at least until the integration process is complete to determine whether there is a duplication of roles, which may require staff layoffs,’’ Kisaame said.

Bank of Uganda last week declared DFCU to have won the competitive bidding process to take over Crane Bank that has been under financial problems for the last half  year. As a result, all Crane Bank branches have been rebranded and they are now fully DFCU assets.
