Different civil society organizations have released opinion polls on age limit bill.

NRM MPs

The Uganda Governance Monitoring Platform and the Citizen’s Coalition for Electoral Democracy in Uganda (CCEDU) poll found that 73% of Ugandans do not support presidential age limit amendment.

However, the same report also exposed that majority of the MPs support the amendment contrary to the views of the people they represent. According to the report, if the MPs vote in favor of the amendment they will be doing it against the will of the majority of the people who are opposed to the amendment and it will be total betrayal of the people who elected them.
