Darren Kyeyune

It’s official; NTV’s Omumuli Gwemizanyo lunchtime sports show just lost one of its commentators, and so has the news desk.

After failing to bring on board senior political reporter- Julius Ssenkandwa, NBS TV decided to go for the youthful Darren Kyeyune and Ernest Wisdom Kiyonga. Darren has been working on NTV’s Luganda sports show alongside Ismail Dhakaba and veteran David Lumansi, while Kiyonga mostly reported for NTV’s Luganda bulletin- Akawungeezi.

The two are said to have put pen to paper at NBS sometime last week. According to close sources, Darren and Kiyonga were given irresistible offers.  Darren and Kiyonga are set to start work in a few days; but while Kiyonga comes in as the producer of the 7pm news- Amasengejje, it appears Darren might be replacing someone on the sports team at NBS.
