Reach A Hand Uganda launches 2017 Young Achievers Awards

Reach A Hand, Uganda a youth led and youth serving organisation launched the 2017 edition of the Young Achievers Awards  at a colorful press breakfast meeting held yesterday at Kampala Serena Hotel. The awards were last held in 2013 and some of the past winners of the Awards include Humphrey Nabimanya, Phionah Mutesi, Esther Kalenzi, Maurice Ochol, Eric and Rebecca Kaduru, Godfrey Atuhaire, Isaac Oboth, Lifetime achievers, The late Dr. James Mulwana, H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, H.E Paul Kagame, Sister Rachelle Fassera, and so other notable and respected recipients that have greatly impacted Ugandan society positively.

“Ever since the awards were last held in 2013, there has not been an opportunity to celebrate many young people who have been at the center of socio-economic and political transformation of Uganda. 2017 is the right time to revive this noble cause  and reward them for their excellence and innovation.”  Faith Ainembabazi, the Project Liaison Officer at Reach A Hand, Uganda stated.

The 2017 edition will celebrate 10 most outstanding young people in the categories of  Social Entrepreneurship, Business, ICT and Innovation, Outstanding Sports Personality, Media and Journalism, Farming and Agro-Processing, Music, Fashion, Film & photography, Young Achiever of Year, Young Hero/Heroine of the Year and the Lifetime Achievement award.

The 2017 Young Achievers Awards will be held on August 12th.
