Gulu University promotes the late Dr Munghereza to professor at her burial

Just like Jose Chameleone sang “Basiima ogenze”, Gulu university has post posthumously awarded Margaret to the rank of professor of psychiatry. Others too joined in and named honoured her while at the burial in Butaleja district.

The university penned a letter to the family requesting them to accept the posthumous promotion to the rank of professor in a condolence letter. Prof. Nyeko Pen-Mogi the university vice chancellor stated that the promotion is in recognition of her commitment and dedication to services she rendered to the university.

In related news, the Rotary club of Kampala West too stated that they will construct a vocational institute in honour of her service to the country.

According to Daily Monitor, the Butaleja district chairman,her home district told mourners they will name a health centre in recognition of her efforts.

Dr. Margret Munghereza,an expert in psychiatry was the former head of world  medical council.  She passed away in India at 59 years due to colon cancer. RIP
