Luzira inmates

Emmanuel Okello, a prison inmate at Luzira maximum prison has scored 19 points out of 20 in the just released UACE results. He scored General paper C3, History B, Entrepreneurship education A, CRE A, D2 in Subsidiary ICT. His feat is no easy one given the squalid conditions in the prison.

While his fellow candidates could have been swimming in the evenings and calling home for more pocket money, Okello was busy burning the midnight candle at the prison. He fell short by one point to score maximum points.

The 2016 UACE results were released today at the Office of the Prime minster. A total of 104,361 students registered for the exams last year.

 Congratulations Okello!
