Out of the city: Park Yard demolition forces SC Villa to Masaka

As Park yard traders are busy seeking asylum in the nearby markets around town, in the same way Uganda Premier League teams who have been using Nakivubo stadium have also confirmed alternative grounds till the end of the season.



16 times league champions SC Villa yesterday returned to their  roots in Masaka district. Villa will host their remaining season games at the Masaka Recreation grounds. “SC Villa has a great attachment to Masaka. It is where the club started from during the golden days of club president, Patrick Kawooya (R.I.P)” said Club president Ben Misagga.

The first fixture Villa will host at the grounds will be against recharged Onduparaka FC March 11th. Police FC is the other team that has been using Nakivubo, it also confirmed that they will share Namboole with Vipers SC who are about to shift to their own stadium St Mary’s Kitende Stadium.
