Geoffrey Massa was a born leader — Denis Onyango praises retired captain

Cranes shot stopper Denis Onyango is all praises for Geoffrey Massa’s spell as captain and striker of the national team This follows Geoffrey Massa’s decision to hang his boots. He officially sent a letter to FUFA stating his intention to retire the precious armband.



Denis Onyango stated that Massa’s leadership will always remembered owing to the fact that he is the second captain to lead the national team to the continental showpiece. He praised the now retired captain for overcoming all odds to give Cranes and the nation memories that will last a life time.

Geoffrey Massa shall not only be remembered for leading Cranes to Afcon after 39 years but also his goals, the most memorable one that tore the net at Namboole. Massa started his professional career at Police FC in 2004. Due to his glittering display, he landed a deal to join Al-Masry in 2005. Since then, he has played for several clubs; El-Shams, Jomo Cosmos, Itesalat, Yenicami Agdelen, University of Pretoria, Bloemfontein Celtic and Barako.
