That was at a time when the embattled Kabafunzaki was still ‘only’ a local councillor for the Ssabagabo (Makindye) and not yet an MP and the Minister of State for Labour and Industrial Relations he is today, meaning he didn’t have the type of networks and “opportunities” his new job provides. Yet a year and 11 months after that post, Kabafunzaki was appearing before the Anti-Corruption Court and being charged with soliciting and receiving a Shs5million bribe.
