While a section of Christians are criticising Pastor Aloysius Bugingo for allegedly burning Bibles on Easter Monday, UPDF Member of Parliament Col. Felix Kulaigye is not moved by the allegations. He stated that Pr. Aloysius Bugingo is preaching the actual gospel.

“Some people have used the scripture for commercial interests to pursue personal ends. For me when I discovered somebody who is bringing the actual gospel as it should be, I had to go with him (Bugingo) and that’s my personal judgment”, Kulaigye stated.

On the issue of burning Bibles Kulaigye defended his pastor stating that Pr. Bugingo’s message has been very clear. He is preaching against Bibles with missing verses.

“The message that Bugingo has been pursuing is that we should not use bibles that are incomplete. The message that is incomplete is as good as an ‘under dose’ or not completing your dosage. And there is a question I have always asked….why should anybody remove any lines yet the bible is clear….don’t add or remove anything.  So who allowed them?” He explained.
