Women lie, men lie but numbers don’t. If President Museveni plans on using his reported monthly Shs3.5m salary to refund the Shs6b “Presidential handshake cash”, it will take him atleast more 140 years.

Yes, it will take a century and another close to half a century to refund if he plans to use the monthly salary. That means the President Museveni who is 73 years of age will be 213 years!

With simple mathematics, Shs3.5m salary takes 1,714 months (142 years) to accumulate to Shs6b.

It was reported that the President faulted ex-AG Fred Ruhindi for not advising him on the “handshake”. He stated that the “presidential handshake” was a mistake and promised to refund the money.

The option of refunding the money remains unknown.
