Step aside all struggling comedy promoters, the king is here to reclaim his throne! Yes, Laftaz Comedy Lounge boss Jonathan Kyeyo, one of the people that have promoted comedy since the early days of the Crackers comedy outfit’s creation, is back with good news for all comedians in the land. Jona told us that his trips to different countries over the past few months are finally paying off.

Earlier in the week, Jona, who is still in USA, where he went to attend the Twegaite convention, announced that he was through with arrangements with different promoters to have Ugandan comedians stage shows in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, different states in USA, South Africa and the UK.

“The tour plan and schedule is complete. Our very own acclaimed UG Kings Of Comedy are hitting the stage in different countries. We are starting with Dubai, then hit the USA in states including Boston, Miami, Minneapolis, New York and so many more,” Jona told us.

He also told us his line up so far includes names like Patrick Idringi Salvado, Madrat & Chiko, Dolibondo, Mariachi and Ronnie McVex. Tickets for the Dubai and USA shows go on sale on August 1 and according to Jona, this time round, Ugandan comedians will feature prominently on the lineup of performers for this year’s UNAA convention.
