Uganda Cranes and Mamelodi Sundowns shot stopper, Denis Onyango has been nominated for the goalkeeper of season in the 2017 Premier Soccer League (PSL) award.

Onyango will mainly get stiff competition from Darren Keet who plays for League reigning champions Bidvest Wits though Shu-Aib Walters from Cape Town City also deserved the nomination.

Despite Onyango’s Sundowns finished second in the league with 57 points. His side conceded only 22 goals, the best tally in the season.

Our own will be aiming to defend the golden glove after winning it last year following his heroics that saw “the Brazilians” win the title last season. The awards giving ceremony is set for Monday July 10th at the Sandton Convention Centre.
