Following a couple of near misses, Ernest Rukundo finally came good at the July edition of the Johnnie Walker Monthly Mug. Yet this Saturday, more than 200 golfers will be aiming to dethrone him when the tournament makes a return for the August edition at the Uganda Golf Club.

This month’s version, which will tee off on Saturday, August 26, is dubbed the Black Label Round and will be played on a medal on individual merit format.

“We are definitely excited about this second round, and from the name you can tell we will be celebrating Johnnie Walker Black Label. The July round was immensely successful, and I want to wish all the golfers the best of luck,” Annette Nakiyaga, UBL’s Head of Whisky Portfolio said.

Three winners are set to be awarded from each group in the men’s and ladies’ categories, with guest players this time also receiving prizes, and these will go to the winner, first and second runners-up.

Green fees are Shs30, 000 and individuals who wish to register can contact Sadi Atibu on 0754405910.
