This notice comes just a week after the Prime Minister Dr Ruhakana Rugunda vowed that following a meeting with concerned bodies that included; Security Minister Lt. Gen. Henry Tumukunde, Minister for Internal Affairs, Gen. Jeje Odong and all telecom companies, government will have no other deadline extension.

Before all this, government had set May 19 as the deadline but President Museveni ordered for a three months extension to enable all those who had not registered.
