Big campaigns that go countrywide need big money — Pornography Control Committee explains why Shs2b is “a joke”

Dr. Annette Kezaabu, Chairperson Pornography Control Committee has explained that for a country wide campaign against pornography to be successful, the government needs to inject more money on top on the allocated Shs2b.

“Big campaigns that go countrywide need big money. If you are fighting a multibillion dollar industry, UGX2bn is like a joke,” she stated.




Anette Kezaabu disclosed that it will not be easy for the team to wipe out pornographic contents but they will try to do the best.

“I don’t want to lie to you. I know some people will try to bypass with VPN but we also have medicine for that. We will make sure that there is a net that keeps out the rubbish from our country,”  Anette revealed

“The committee will take necessary measures to make sure we detect pornography early and then prohibit it. We are going to block and filter pornographic content,” she added.
