Valhalla bar and Restaurant will be celebrating one year of existence, this Saturday.
The hangout spot is located on Plot 44, Lumumba Avenue, an address that has hosted several bars over the years. It started out as Kelly’s Bar in the early 2000s, changing management and name to Cheese Bar, Blu Haze, Chi Bar, Sundowners and now Valhalla.

A year ago, Valhalla literally started from scratch to become one of Kampala’s most talked about bars especially amongst the young outgoing crowd.

“We’ve come a long way, but we are not were we not where we want to be yet,” said Michael Lukusa, the Managing Director.

“Our mission is to ensure that every customer who goes through our gates receives a remarkable experience. Our staff, set up and offers are designed to ensure that it’s always a good time,” he added.

Lukusa explains that the word Valhala means heaven.

Come the anniversary on Saturday, management says Valhalla has prepared a carnival like celebration that will have some of Kampala’s best DJs ready to turn up the party. DJ Naselow, DJ Ciza, DJ LL, DJ Sparx, dJ Kross and DJ Matt will share time on the decks.
