New FDC president Patrick Amuriat promises Ugandans Zimbabwe experience

Just hours after winning the FDC presidential race, Patrick Oboi Amuriat has come out to say that he will lead Ugandans into the Zimbabwe experience before 2021. During an interview with a local television channel, POA as many call him, said there is an urgent need to change the leadership of this country, so as to bring about development.

“There is going to be alot of work done in organising citizens to prepare them to act as we are going to begin business on Monday… I want to assure Ugandans that if it happened in Zimbabwe, it can also happen in Uganda,” Amuriat said.

He added that he will reconcile the party members to become one despite differences in top leadership and founding members about in regards to to plans about how to secure leadership from ruling party, NRM.

Tomorrow, he will officially take office from his main opponent in the concluded race, Gen Mugisha Muntu.
