I always put country interests ahead of personal interests — Gen Muntu calls for dialogue

The much anticipated Gen Mugisha Muntu’s announcement today morning has left many surprised after he called for dialogue amongst party stakeholders.

In the press conference held at Hotel Africana, Muntu revealed that he cannot rush to make decision.

“I always put country interests ahead of personal interests. This is not about Muntu but rather it’s about the entire population who are in a struggle to end dictatorship. My (Muntu) decision will be determined by the results of the consultation meeting,” Muntu explained.

Muntu further enlightened that there are differences within the party but its a healthy thing stating that politics is not a matter of life and death. On Friday this week, Muntu promised to  handover to Amuriat.
