Socialite Meddie Sentongo says he took the decision to quit South Africa back in March this year because he believes it is time he settled down in Uganda and started a family. Meddie revealed his plans during an interview with a local TV station.

“I am finally settling here in Uganda. I will only be going to South Africa to check on my businesses. In life, one needs to explore the whole world, move places and finally settle down. I feel it is the right time to be back home and concentrate on building my career,” Meddie stated.

Meddie’s rise to fame was characterised by scandals. A few years ago, he and fellow socialite Bad Black raised dust in the city with their lavish spending ways.

Sadly the glitz and glamour life didn’t take last long as it was found out that the two were involved in dubious deals through which they defrauded UK businessman David Greenhalgh. The two were sent to Luzira as a result.

Meddie claims he is now older and has matured.  He stated that he has been through a lot and life has taught him lessons. Lessons that have made him realise that one can never make it in life alone. As he is settling in Uganda, he revealed that he wants a companion, particularly a well behaved woman to marry.
