The latest we have landed on is that another Urban TV presenter and senior producer Dan Mumbere, a producer has also thrown in towel. Dan follows Byan Mckenzie who quit the station recently.

According to Urban TV Promotions manager Desire Mugumisa, he says Daniel  Mumbere, Amelia Martha Nakitimbo, news anchor, Raziah Athman, news anchor and reporter decided to quit the station for greener pastures.

“Daniel, after six years with us, got an opportunity to become Digital Manager at Africa News, a continental news platform, and has since relocated to Congo Brazzaville. Another of our reporters and News Anchors, Amelia Martha Nakitimbo and Raziah Athman also joined the same platform in that capacity,” Desire said in a brief interview.

Desire went to explain to us that Urban TV nurtures the best talent. He furthermore claims that the station has exhalted some of its staff to platforms across the world because of the valuable experience and training with the station.

“ About two months ago, we had Raziah Athman move there and just one month into the job, she was appointed deputy editor!” Desire concludes. Daniel, for everything he achieved at the station coupled with his longevity with Urban TV, was accorded a surprise farewell party at Liquid Silk on Friday, December 1st.
