The annual Black and White party is back at Guvnor and it is on this Thursday December 14. A brainchild of Swedish based socialite Connie Matovu, the party is powered by Johnnie Walker Black Label.

“I have been doing the Black and White Party for the past five years both in Sweden and Uganda. This will be the third edition in Uganda,” Matovu says.

She adds that 20 percent of all the proceeds from the party will go to charity.

“The idea is all about partying with a good cause. I run a charity called Save The Child with two friends. Cedric Kawuma is our CEO and founder and Millie Matovu is the other one,” Connie says.

Her charity talk is not mere lip service as this mother of four helped build a house for a mother of two disabled children in Nakifuma earlier this year. Just like its name suggests, guests at the Black and White party are expected to wear black, white or even both.

Bobi Wine, Geo Steady and Beenie Gunter are lined up to perform at the do. Entrance to the do is 50k.
