He was attacked and clobbered on June 4th by unknown people while he was returning home and from that time, he was been in coma at Nsambya hospital till his eventual death.

Now popular Kenyan boy-band Sauti Sol wants to celebrate his life at this year’s last edition of the Blankets and Wine fest, band member Willis Austin Chimano asked UBL Brand Manager Premium Beers, Grace Namutebi in Entebbe on Friday.

“Please bring Danz Kumpeesa’s family on 17th December at the Lugogo Cricket Oval so that we (Sauti Sol) and our Ugandans fans show them love,” Chimano said.

“It is always sad when a young man like Danz dies yet his talent, we understand his family is going through a lot right now thus we wish to send our love and gratitude,” the vocalist added before guitarist Polycarp Otieno interjected: “Danz made for us a very good song and we want to perform Mbozi Zamalwa in Kampala for the first time when his mother is in presence.”

Sauti Sol’s performances will be preceded by acts from the former singing duo of Benon and Vamposs. There is also an array of DJs lined up to perform.

Blankets & Wine is East Africa’s premier music experience designed to showcase outstanding musicians in the emerging genres of afro-based music and the weekend do will be the 18th episode since they kicked off on the Kampala party circuit.
