How Dr Obuku was attacked and sustained skull injuries

The President of Uganda Medical Association, Dr. Ekwaro Obuku is admitted at Case Hospital, Kampala where he is receiving treatment. According to Uganda Medical Association (UMA), PR, Dr. Obuku has regained consciousness and is steadily improving.

Dr. Obuku, who has been the face of the medical doctors’ industrial action was reportedly attacked at around 11pm by five well built men. He was reportedly at his gate waiting for it to be opened. The thugs threw huge stones at his windscreen and ordered him to get out. He was mugged and his phone taken. He sustained nasty head injury and bled profusely before he was rushed to Case Hospital.
