Arua Municipality MP Ibrahim Abiriga has allegedly fired his driver, identified as Asuman Matovu for taking his yellow car to a fake garage. While speaking to NTV Asuman narrated that he was fired after he took the legislator’s beloved yellow Volkswagen to a garage he disliked. “He (Abiriga) only prefers a garage in Buziga or Kawanda,” Asuman stated.

The now stranded Asuman said at the time of his sacking, he was demanding two months’ salary arrears. He has also been evicted from the allocated house where he has been staying with his family.

However, Abiriga has refuted the allegations saying Matovu was never under any contract which entitled him to a monthly payment. The yellow man also stated that he has been just his casual driver whom he uses once in a while.
