Victoria University is giving scholarships to financially challenged but talented students in their current intake.

As the National Resistance Movement marks 32 years in power today, less privileged cadres have a chance to study and attain world class education from Victoria University, thanks to Ruparelia Foundation scholarships.

The foundation, run by businessman Sudhir Ruparelia is offering 50% scholarships to 10 students in each of Uganda’s more than 100 districts.

Tycoon Sudhir Ruparelia has invested in Uganda’s education, from primary to tertiary level. He is now offering scholarships to less privileged students.

The ruling party has welcomed the scholarships with open arms and Secretary General Kasule Lumumba has written to district chairpersons to identify deserving scholars.
