NRM party claims the opposition is planning to cause havoc in tomorrow’s by-election for Jinja East Parliamentary East. The hotly contested race has attracted eight with NRM’s Igeme Nathan and FDC’s Paul Mwiru two-horse race.

“The NRM Party is in receipt of information that the opposition is planning to cause havoc in Jinja East Constituency before, during and after elections this Thursday. The launch of their mission was on Tuesday afternoon when a group of young people, some dressed in FDC T-shirts hit and smashed the screens of our official yellow mini buses (coasters) ferrying members to the rally venue. Some of our members escaped with injuries by broken glasses and the flying stones”, NRM’s Communications Officer Rogers Mulindwa stated.
