Manu is a song writer, musician and saxophonist best known for his song “Soul Makossa” which inspired Michael Jackson’s  ‘Wanna be startin’ something’ .

He will be performing together with Uganda’s Isaiah Katumwa and South Africa’s Siphokazi at a tribute concert to the fallen father of South African jazz, Hugh Masekela.

The 84 year old is best known for developing a unique music style that fuzes jazz, funk and traditional Cameroonian music. He has over 70 albums which he started recording in 1968 at the age of 35.
