Cavendish University Uganda awards Ugandan students with full scholarships

Cavendish University Uganda (CUU) awarded over 21 top Ugandan students with fully paid scholarships and opportunity to study on its Academic Excellence program. The 21 one students started their studies during the January 2018 intake.

Unlike other universities in the country, the CUU scholarship program covers up to 100% tuition and functional fees and it eligible to both first-year and transfer students.

“For one to qualify, prospective students should meet the following criteria; Be Ugandan citizen, plan to attend classes in person, have at least 3 principal passes at A-level, have a total of at least 12 points at A-level, have a strong interest in developing leadership skills, be able to pass a pre-entry written English and basic-math test, be able to pass an oral interview and have at least two letters of reference or recommendation from a teacher and community leader…” said the Executive Director David Mutabanura.


The University board also announced that it’s in advanced stages of organizing a pre-graduation lecture and 7th graduation ceremony set for Friday 20th April, 2018 at Commonwealth Speak Resort, Munyonyo.

Both the events will be held together with the installation of the University Vice Chancellor P rof. John Francis Mugisha at the main campus.
