Singer Geoffrey Lutaaya, boss of the Eagles Production breakaway faction Da New Eagles is back to school with an aim of getting the required qualifications to stand for political office. A very reliable source told us Lutaaya recently enrolled for a plumbing course where he will bag a certificate at the end of it all.

It is believed that Lutaaya plans to later enrol for a degree at one of the private universities near his home in Munyonyo. According to the source, Lutaaya, who is also singer Irene Namatovu’s sweetheart, decided to return to school in order to acquire the required qualifications to vie for an MP seat in his home district in Kyotera.

Lutaya has been quite close to the bigwigs at the NRM secretariat in the recent past. Our source could not readily establish if Lutaya will stand on the NRM ticket, but many believe his hope for financial support majorly lies with the ruling party.
