Confirmed; France-based Congolese music star Fally Ipupa will not be visiting our dusty city as had been earlier advertised.  According to reliable info, 243 events, the company behind Fally’s trip to Kampala, decided to postpone the Congolese star’s shows in Kampala citing limited time for promotion as their biggest undoing.

According to earlier communications, Fally was meant to perform at two concerts at the Lugogo Cricket Oval and at the Kampala Serena Hotel on July 20 and July 21 respectively.

However, during an exclusive chat with one of the 243 events directors, the show has been postponed to a later date; “Fally is a friend, and much as we would badly want him to perform in Kampala, we had to be more realistic; we didn’t have enough time to promote the event,” he told us.

However, the same source told us Fally agreed to give them a new date within 14 days; “He (Fally) promised to give us another date for a concert in Kampala, and this time we shall have no excuses,” he added.

Fally has been to Uganda once, but unfortunately that time he went to Arua and not the capital- Kampala. Fally is famous for songs like Eloko Oyo, Posa, and Nidja ft R. Kelly, Je savoure le moment, Service, Sexy Dance and Original.
